Cappadocia is our land. It means the land of beautiful horses. Located on central of Turkey.  Many spots should be seen in Cappadocia. Like fairy chimneys, which are the signature feature of Turkey’s volcanic wonderland. In a spectacular landscape, entirely sculpted by erosion. Cappadocia contains rock-hewn sanctuaries that provide unique evidence of Byzantine’s a.k.a. Eastern Roman Empire art. Dwellings, troglodyte villages and underground towns – the remains of a traditional human habitat dating back to the early centuries – can also be seen there. The activities such as hot air balloon ride, horseback riding, quad tours and stopping by a carpet weaving schools should be experienced.

The surreal, brillant white travertine terraces and warm, limpid pools of Pamukkale hang, like the petrified cascade of mighty waterfall. Truly spectacular in its own right, the geological phenomenon that is Pamukkale, literally “Cotton Castle” in Turkish, is also the site of remarkably well preserved ruins of Greek-Roman city of Hierapolis. With such a unique combination of natural and man made wonders it’s little wonder that Pamukkale-Hierapolis has been made a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Ephesus is an exceptional testimony to the cultural traditions of the Hellenistic, Roman Imperial and early Christian periods as reflected in the monuments in the center of the Ancient City and Ayasuluk. The cultural traditions of the Roman Imperial period are reflected in the outstanding representative buildings of the city center including the amphitheatre, Celsus Library, Hadrian’s Temple, the Serapeion and Terrace House.

Historical accounts and archaeological remains of significant traditional and religious Anatolian cultures beginning with the cult of Cybele/Meter until the modern revival of Christianity are visible and traceable in Ephesus, which played a decisive role in the spread of Christian faith throughout the Roman Empire. The extensive remains of the Basilica of St. John on Ayasuluk Hill and those of the Church of Mary in Ephesus are testament of the city’s importance to Christianity. Two important Councils of the early Church were held at Ephesus in 431 and 449 CE, initiating the veneration of Mary in Christianity, which can be seen as a reflection of the earlier veneration of Artemis and the Anatolian Cybele. Ephesus was also the leading political and intellectual center, with the second school of philosophy in the Aegean, and Ephesus as a cultural and intellectual center had great influence on philosophy and medicine.
